How do I unlock the trial after buying a license?

Manually drag the file .license file into the same plugin folder as the .dll and you’re good to go. Like Magic!

How do I open the trial in my DAW.

If you are using an effect plugin, simply add your plugin to any effect channel on a mixer strip. Once it’s added just press continue{ or buy 🙂 } to begin use right away!

How do I install the trial?

For Mac users:

For Mac, you have a choice between VST, VST3 and AU. You can choose more than one, as long as you put them in the correct folder(s) on your Mac. On Mac the audio plug-in folders are always the same.

Plug-in format:Plug-in extension:Plug-in folder:
VST.vstLibrary/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST
VST3.vst3Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3
AU.componentLibrary/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

If you have trouble finding the Library folder in Finder, you’ll have to go to the Finder menu and go to Finder/Preferences/General and check the ‘Hard discs’ checkbox. A hard disc icon will appear on your desktop. If you double-click this you’ll find the Library folder. Alternatively you can go to Finder/Preferences/Sidebar and check ‘Hard discs’ there to add this link to the finder sidebar. If you double-click this you’ll find the Library folder.

For PC users:

For PC, you have a choice between VST, VST3, both available in 32bit and 64bit. In general it is critical to make sure your plug-ins have the same bit-length as the DAW you’re using them in. Many programs do use a ‘bit-bridge’ to support both 32bit as 64bit, but these bridges can be unstable in some situations and are heavy on your CPU. Regarding the choice between VST or VST3: you can pick one or both, as long as you put them into the correct folder. On PC the VST3 folder is usually the same, but the VST folder might vary. When installing VST2, it is best to find out which folder your DAW is using for this purpose.

Plug-in format:Plug-in extension:Plug-in folder:
VST (32bit).dllC:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VstPlugins

C:\Program Files (x86)\ VstPlugins

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2

VST (64bit).dllC:\Program Files \Steinberg\VstPlugins

C:\Program Files \VstPlugins

C:\Program Files \Common Files\VST2

VST3 (32bit).vst3C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
VST3 (64 bit).vst3C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

In some DAWs you need to rescan your plug-in folder, or even re-open your project, before they recognize the plug-in. After doing so, you’ll find the Fyre Effect Pro in your DAWs plug-in list. The installation of the trial is now complete. If you load the Fyre Effect Pro, it will show you the trial-screen. Note that the trial version of the Fyre Effect Pro will not save its settings after closing the project in your DAW, and will generate a short burst of white noise every 30 seconds. You can click ‘Continue’ to use the trial version of the plug-in, or ‘Buy License’ to go to our webshop to buy a license file.

Where can I download the trial version, and how is it protected?

The demo version is availible at www.audeobox.com . While using the trial version the plugin is fully functional with the exception of a little white noise every 30 seconds. You will not be able to save your settings, and be forced to look at our awesome demo screen ;). Just buy it, you’ll feel better!
